New Waverley Offices, Edinburgh

The New Waverley Offices are home to 2,900 civil servants creating a “centre of excellence” for public service. Several UK government departments are located there, including HMRC, which will operate one of its 13 regional centres from New Waverley.

The site is situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s “Old Town” and forms part of a World Heritage zone. Replacing the old Carpark which occupied the site previously, these offices form the first part of the second phase of the New Waverley Development. Sitting just below Calton Hill and a stone’s throw from the famous Royal Mile the offices occupy an ideal position in a bustling destination with excellent connectivity.

The offices are arranged across two linked buildings providing some 210,000 sq. ft. of space and offering the highest levels of sustainability and operational efficiency. Employees benefit from modern, well-lit Grade A office space with added staff amenities including a landscaped roof area providing sweeping views across the Waverley Valley. Michael Nugent Ltd provided a full mechanical and electrical services installation for this outstanding project in the heart of Edinburgh.
