Marigold House
We are pleased to secure MEP works for Marigold House which is a care home in Leighton Buzzard. NUGENT will be installing energy efficient systems reducing carbon footprint for the £13M, 63 bedroom care home entailing a range of features including; ensuite bedrooms, specialist bathing facilities, hairdresser, on-site catering, private and outdoor space, communal spaces for residents, multi-purpose space, community space and car parking.
The building is being constructed to the highest sustainable standards using Passivhaus criteria to deliver an energy efficient building with air source heat pumps being the main source of heating. Main Contractors, Farrans Construction have a wealth of experience within the public sector delivering senior living care homes began on site in September 2021. The building is being developed using external brick and a mixture of steel and pre cast elements.
