May 30, 2024
NUGENT are excited to be on board the 48-52 York Street Student Accommodation development which is based in the busy inner city centre of Belfast. The accommodation is being developed to house the high footfall of students at Ulster University Belfast Campus.
48 – 52 York Street is prime location for students, directly opposite to Ulster University Belfast Campus on York Street and adjacent to 123 York Street & LIV Student which NUGENT completed MEP Installation for in previous years. With excellent access to the motorway networks and wide range of transport, the accommodation is a fantastic location for students.
The £30 million, 11 storey student accommodation will have 307 studios with communal areas including an entrance lobby and reception, podium garden, gym, indoor / outdoor yoga studio, games room, TV lounge, meeting rooms and informal study areas as well as ground retail units. The team have been busy in the background planning for multiple months and have arrived on site earlier this year.

Our Mechanical installations include but not limited too;
Our Electrical installations include but not limited too;
Electrical Contracts Manager, John Mc Lernon, said ‘With the neighbouring student accommodation blocks at full capacity, 48-52 York Street will be a great addition for the students to have walking distance accommodation with great communal facilities. Our team have a wealth of experience with residential blocks, including myself being the Electrical Contracts Manager for NUGENT at neighbouring student blocks; 123 York Street and LIV Student. The project is going at an excellent rate, and we look forward to the progress on site within the next few months”.
Estimated completion is August 2024 ahead of the 2024 / 2025 academic year.
