St. Patrick’s Academy Dungannon

St. Patrick’s Academy Dungannon was given the go ahead to build their new £30m school in 2016. The department of Education first announced that St. Patrick’s Academy was to get a new building in spring 2003 but various complications in 2005, outside the school’s control, meant that plans were put on hold for three years.

The project included the construction of a modern school building, sports pavilion with pitches and landscaping & carparking. The school building includes 75 teaching classrooms with associated support spaces, administration facilities, a library, careers suite, sixth form facilities and surrounding playgrounds.

Fermanagh and South Tyrone representative Bronwyn McGahan describes the new school as a great boost for the parents, students, teachers and all involved with the school.
Michael Nugent Ltd provided a full mechanical services installation for this significant project which was completed in summer 2018. The school has boosted the local economy of Dungannon providing jobs to the local area, along with community facilities such as the sports hall and playing fields, as well as first class education opportunities for generations to come.
