As we approach the end of 2025, we are proud to celebrate the successful handover of Holy Trinity College, Cookstown—a major milestone for the school and the wider community.
Funding for the project was originally secured in 2013 as part of the Department for Education’s long-term capital works programme. Felix O’Hare & Co. Ltd commenced construction in May 2023, bringing this long-awaited development to life.
Our mechanical services on the project included, but were not limited to:
• LTHW systems, including underfloor heating
• Domestic hot and cold water services
• Above-ground drainage
• Supply and extract ventilation
• LEV systems
• Compressed air
• Natural gas installations
• Building Management System (BMS)
• Rainwater harvesting systems
The new £35m, 16,000 sqm, three-storey college spans 13 acres and was delivered across two phases. Phase one involved construction of the new college building to the rear of the existing school, along with external facilities. Phase two included demolition of the former school and completion of the remaining outdoor works, all while students safely occupied the new building.
Designed to support 1,300 students and staff, the college features state-of-the-art facilities including a lecture theatre, multi-purpose hall, integrated canteen with grab-and-go café, GAA football pitches, multi-use games areas, and more.
We are delighted to hand over this exceptional facility and look forward to seeing Holy Trinity College thrive in its new, modern learning environment.
