Magherafelt Leisure Centre

Famous for housing Northern Ireland’s first Olympic-size swimming pool and hosting a number of Olympic training teams, Magherafelt Leisure Centre is among the best in the country. With a fun children’s pool, village changing area, health suite, sports halls and weights room, the centre offers a high standard of sport and fitness facilities. It’s also been awarded the Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group’s Poolmark Award for outstanding swimming pool cleanliness.

Michael Nugent Ltd was fully involved in the centre’s refurbishment scheme, from its conception to completion. We removed all existing LPHW, hot water generation and BMS control systems and installed the new plant, equipment and infrastructure, all within a live environment. We also installed pool filtration, sanitary provisions, radiant heating, fan convectors, AHU systems to the main pool and air-conditioning systems.
