Ballycastle Shared Education Campus

NUGENT is pleased to be on board with the Department of Education’s new £72 million Ballycastle Shared Education Campus. The project will support learning and sports facilities for Ballycastle High School and Cross and Passion College. The new campus will accommodate 1,200 students from both schools and be constructed on the current sites.

The project was first announced back in 2016, as part of the UK Government’s Fresh Start Programme, with Heron Brothers announced as Main Contractors. Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council had also partnered to contribute a further £3.8 million to enhance the sports facilities for community use.

A list of state-of-the-art amenities include; a new core school building and sports building; sports pavilion; Education Authority (EA) Youth Service day activity building; EA grounds maintenance storage building with a 2G hockey pitch, 3G GAA pitch and multiuse games area with dedicated parking.

The modern facilities are expected to be fully complete by May 2027, to begin a new chapter of shared and integrated education.
