The renal unit at Altnagelvin Area Hospital – which serves the second-largest city population in Northern Ireland – offers 14 dialysis stations and intensive care to patients with acute renal failure. Additionally, the unit runs outpatient services for nephrology, CAPD and transplant patients.
Our responsibility was to carry out full mechanical installation during the unit’s construction, including LPHW and ceiling panel heating installation, as well as plumbing, sanitation and ventilation services. Michael Nugent Ltd also fitted medical gas supplies, soil disposal, vacuum transfer and dialysis chemical delivery systems.
