The Grand Hotel Birmingham

The Grand Hotel, Birmingham is a Grade II listed Victorian building in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, England. The stunning hotel has recently finished a £45 million refurbishment and restoration bringing the hotel back to life after closing in 2002 for 19 years. The Grand Hotel was originally opened in 1879, and the family continue to run the Victorian heritage hotel today. The hotel is one of Birmingham’s most iconic buildings and has hosted royalty, politicians and film stars.

The redevelopment of the Grand Hotel consisted of refurbishing the original building into a luxurious 185 room hotel with two penthouses, The Grand Ballroom, lobby lounge cocktail bar and restaurant. The Grand Hotel has a combination of original Victorian Architecture with striking modern features. The iconic ‘Sleeping Beauty’ has been brought into the 21st Century while restoring the historic Grand Ballroom.
