The Grand Central Hotel Belfast

The Grand Central Hotel, is Northern Irelands largest hotel following a £53m investment from Hastings Hotels. The project brief was to increase and enhance the size of the existing Windsor House in order to cope with the growing demands of business and the thriving tourist industry in Belfast.

The revamp to the hotel has added an additional 104 guest-rooms bringing the new total to 304, stretching over 22 storeys, with the 23rd floor occupied by The Observatory, the highest bar in Ireland. The Grand Central’s dining options range from a city chic Grand Café on the ground floor, to the design led Seahorse Bar & Restaurant overlooking Bedford Street.

Working in conjunction with main contractor Graham, Michael Nugent Ltd have provided all mechanical and electrical services for this outstanding project; the largest and most expensively constructed hotel project undertaken in Northern Ireland. Specialised services such as the filtration system and ventilation were installed, in addition to BMS Systems, heating & domestic water. All electrical systems such as lighting, security/fire alarms, general power accessories and mechanical controls cabling were also provided. Michael Nugent Ltd have a wealth of experience providing M&E services for Hotels with this project further enhancing our ever-growing portfolio.
