Summer 2025 Placement Experience at NUGENT

This summer, we were delighted to welcome Conall Mc Gee and Ronan Cassidy, both students from Queen’s University Belfast, who joined us for their summer placements before starting their third year of study.

A little about their journey with us:

👨‍💻 Conall Mc Gee – Mathematics & Statistics student, entering 3rd year

“My time at NUGENT was great. I had the chance to visit sites and gain valuable insights. Everybody in the office was very friendly and welcoming.”

Conall aspires to pursue a career as a Quantitative Analyst in hedge funds or investment banking.

📊 Ronan Cassidy – Accounting student, entering 3rd year

“I really enjoyed working with the finance team at NUGENT this summer, gaining practical experience that complemented my studies. Visiting various NUGENT sites gave me a broader understanding of how finance supports operations on the ground. I’m grateful for how friendly my colleagues were, with their constant support and guidance.”

After his studies, Ronan hopes to become a Chartered Accountant.
