August 11, 2017

Works at the new Hampton by Hilton Hotel at Stansted Airport in London have been completed and the building has been successfully handed over. The luxury hotel, with 357 rooms spread over seven-storeys, is the largest in the world out of the 2,100 hotels owned by the chain.

This £30m project, expanding over 8,670m2, offers guests services and amenities such as a free hot breakfast, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi, Work Zone with internet and printing facilities and a 24/7 fitness centre. Additionally the hotel offers spectacular runway views in addition to two meeting rooms. Directly connected to the Stansted terminal building, the development is part of client Urban&Civic’s commitment to deliver high quality commercial and residential places and significant investment in the London – Stansted – Cambridge corridor.

Michael Nugent Ltd provided both mechanical and electrical services for this prestigious hotel development at one of the UK’s busiest airports. Key services installed by MNL included domestic hot water systems, drainage systems, BMS and a full ventilation fitout. In addition to this, MNL provided a full electrical services installation to the hotel.

Paolo Franchi, general manager of the new hotel, said: “The Hampton by Hilton London Stansted will be the perfect place for travellers to eat, drink or sleep either before or after their journey and will provide a fun and relaxed atmosphere for guests to kick back and relax during their stay.”
